Another field trip

On Friday I went on my second field trip, this time with my History of Early Christianity class. We visited local Spoleto, a place of much Roman History. I’ll share some of my photos here:

Roman ruins of the amphitheater

That’s my Professor. His name is Alessandro, doesn’t he look extremely Mediterranean? That’s good, cause he is. The church that we are standing outside of had an old place of worship underneath. You couldn’t tell from the front right? We walked straight in, and into the back where we went down the stairs to find some history.

This is another local church and Alessandro was explaining the different art from the different periods of Christianity, in this church. There are many parts to it.

This is a lavish floor, where each stone was carefully chosen. They marked certain spots down the aisle, so the priest would know where to stop and say a prayer.

I didn’t take a lot of pictures in all the churches we went to. (a lot!) But here are some pictures of Spoleto.

This is for my friends, who would know this inside joke. Yellow blue bus.
